The Red Ropert Award by the 8th March Committee in Grenland

"This year's winner of the Red Robe is committed to human dignity, charity, democracy and equality. Over many years, she has done a lot to help others. She makes women shine and believe in themselves. She is concerned with our common social value, while wanting every person to be seen and heard.

She has created her own workplace through helping others and solving everyday problems. She has personally experienced the feeling of not being good enough, not reaching out and not being included in the community.

She has a PhD in international politics. She has a lot of experience from working with immigrant women in Grenland in particular, projects through the EU's Erasmus program and she has seen the need and put in years of voluntary work to create a service that ensures people who come to our area, a faster, smoother and cost-effective integration into everyday life and the local environment. She has created nothing less than a new player in the welfare state, which has premises in Skien and Porsgrunn.

She has stated: "Working with microintegration means that we unravel people's challenges and obstacles to finding a job, an education or simply fitting into society.

This year's winner was born in Germany, grew up in Austria, is German/Turkish with a Muslim father and Christian mother and lives in Skien.

Peri-Ilka Tincman, founder of the organization LoPe (Love&Peace) is awarded the RED ROPERT 2024.

The LoPe team says: "Microintegration is something we really believe in. We hope that all those who leave us, smiling, waving and slamming the door here, that they get into a completely normal working relationship with hectic weekdays and never need us again.

With this year's award, the March 8 Committee wishes to thank the prize winner who, through her conscious attitude to the core values of charity, human dignity and peacemaking activities in encounters with other people, helps to give hope. Peri helps to highlight the resources of immigrant women through the association LoPe by finding work, getting an education and promoting gender equality."
